A New Job!

For the past three years I have worked on a project for a major oil company in Bartlesville, Ok. The project is set to close by the end of this month. But, fortunately for me, the timing has worked in my favor, and I have been hired as a "permanent" (a relative term) employee for the same company.

I'll have to figure out what to do about the 65 mile - one way - commute from my home in Tulsa to Bartlesville.

I now have a decision to make about moving.

Moving Pros - simplify my life!, save lots of money on gas and wear and tear on the car, give me back 2.5 hours a day to do something besides drive, better for the enviornment, it's a nice community, winters won't be as scary if I don't have to drive so far in snow

Cons - I love Tulsa!, my best friend will be farther away, it puts me an additional hour from my kids and grandkids, smaller community with fewer places to go and things to do, I'll have to sell my house -- packing, moving.. arrrgghhh.

Oh well, these things will work out, too. Just like the job itself did.

I'm very pleased that I don't have to go on any more interviews!! and I won't have to try to make ends meet on unemployment!

Life really is good.

  1. I'm happy that you've got full-time work ahead. Considering a move must be challenging. I know you'll come out of this transition time with flying colors. I know you don't want to leave Tulsa, it seems like an awesome place from what you've posted here. Yet, you won't be far from there if you move.

You go girl. You're a winner in my book.
