For the past two weeks I've been working to finish up projects from my old job as well as training for my new job. Then right dab in the middle of all this, Tulsa County thinks I should show up for jury duty next week.
Not complaining, just explaining why I haven't been to visit all my favorite bloggers lately. I've been leaving early in the morning and coming home late in the evening, with time to feed my kitties and myself, get ready for bed, grab some zzzz's, rinse and repeat.
I really believe the county sits back, watching citizens, seeking the exact worst time to hit them with a jury duty summons. Mission accomplished. But, then again maybe I'll have some juicy jury stories to report... one can only hope.
Holy cow! Forgive me, I'm from Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't do all you're doing. No way. I'm so proud and respectful of you. I've been wondering how far you were in your moving process. It sounds like you're proceeding splendidly except for that unforeseen jury duty summons. Hang in there and try to relax and unwind whenever you're able.
You're cool.
Yep, busy seems to happen when you least need it!
ReplyDeleteWow - you are right - could you be ANY busier! I got called to Jury Duty while I was busier than a one-armed paper hanger, and they wouldn't excuse me. The Judge had some comment like, "What do they do when you go on vacation? Don't they cover for you?" So he denied my waver. But I didn't get selected for that jury. Then I retired and was actually looking forward to serving, got called to serve, and the folks settled out of court. Hopefully you will get a pass this time!
ReplyDeleteMy blog won't let me sign in. If I come here and comment, I'm asked for my username and password and then I can do my editing, etc. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, we get that here in CT, too! My wife was summoned right before she started her new job.
ReplyDeleteSounds like things are really hectic for you. we hope things settle down a bit, and that you have some time to relax with the kittehs.
It's me again. Using your blog as a stepping stone to sign in to mine. Good grief!
ReplyDeleteBye.
