Hotter'n a Firecracker

Long stretch of early heat wave

We talk an awful lot about the weather here in Oklahoma - not always because we are especially bad at coming up with topics to discuss - but because it's just so fascinating - from heaters to air conditioners in a day's time. Storms that scare the dickens out of you, followed by gorgeous rainbows and sapphire skies with friendly fluffy white clouds.

Now we'll be talking about how early the hot weather has hit. "Didn't even get a glimpse of Spring this year.", and my favorite,  "Hot enough for you?"   Arrrrggghhhhh.

Oh well, bring it on, Summer. I'm ready for you.

  1. Wisconsin is very similar. I can't remember the last spring that was as spring is supposed to be. Fortunately, we are dissimilar as far as the bad storms go here in extreme southern Wisconsin this year.

You certainly know how to enjoy the hot, hot days with those cartons of yummy ice cream.

    Take care,

  2. Yum - ice cream! My fav! We finally had the first day over 70 this year and it was glorious!! I've been planting :) and weeding :( the past couple of days. Tomatoes, cukes, green/red/yellow peppers. Hope you have more things than just ice cream to cope with the weather in your neck of the woods. Uh-Oh - I just sounded like my mother. That (neck of the woods) was one of her favorite sayings.

  3. Yup, it looks like you're all set! :)

We seem to have gotten of to an early start to summer here in the NE, too. 97 degrees today!

    Stay cool, friends.
